Robert Key guilty of dissent

Robkeysept Kent captain Rob Key, recently awarded Performance of the Day here at the Googly, has had his knuckles severely rapped by the ECB, we learned today. During the Twenty20 final at Edgbaston, Key was caught (a very low catch admittedly) at mid-wicket and failed to walk briskly. Having hung around the outfield, expecting the umpires to go to a replay, when they didn't, Rob hurled his bat over the boundary.

As a result he has received three penalty points and been ordered to pay £400 costs. While there is no doubt that any such behaviour should be punished, I read with interest that the ECB disciplinary panel was "particularly concerned that the incident took place during a high profile televised match". Surely transgressions should be treated in the same way whether committed live on television or in front of two men and a dog on a wet day at a sodden county ground?
