Second Test, Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, Colombo - Sri Lanka win by an innings and 90 runs
Although Bangladesh have taken another tonking in this latest Test match, there were some signs of recovery and reasons for optimism in their second innings; namely a unbeaten 129 from the extremely talented Mohammad Ashraful and a semi-respectable total of 299.
None of this could prevent a comprehensive defeat though, and when you are skittled for 62 in your first innings and then your opponents declare on 451-6 that is to be expected. The victory for Sri Lanka gives them an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series with one Test match left to play.
It is an embyonic time for Test cricket in Bangladesh at the moment, and I'm sure that things will improve in the future. At least I hope so, for the good of all the game. [Image: Getty]
