Andrew Symonds - "Keep Twenty20 cricket fun"

Andrew_symonds Australian all-rounder and angling superstar Andrew Symonds has lamented that the "fun" aspect of Twenty20 is slowly being eroded as the format becomes increasingly legitimised.

"The thing people love about Twenty20 is that it's fun and fresh, but it's also not played that often," Symonds told the Daily Telegraph. "It's a good thing as long as it's not taken that seriously. Now there's a World Cup it's obviously going to be taken seriously. That might be a bit of a shame." These comments echo those of Nathan Bracken, who stated that Australia should not get too stressed over the World Cup in September.

Twenty20 will always divide opinion, but one thing that I think we can all agree on is that if Australia do not take this World Cup seriously, it will suffer as an event. [Image: Getty]

Proper game Twenty20. The ICC should be moving heaven and earth to get it in the Olympics.
