Duncan Fletcher tries (and fails) to explain why England are so garbage at one-day cricket.
Duncan Fletcher, the man who was rendered mute after the abject humiliation suffered against South Africa, has spoken to the press following the win over West Indies. Funny that. He attempted to say that he's left England in a good place, and the reason we were shite is because there are a lot of young players etc etc.
Fletcher said, "I have said previously that this World Cup was a bit early for them and it could take up to a year, but who knows? They could suddenly put it together in six months, but I would still be a little bit patient with them because they've got a bit of learning to do. The foundations are there, but I think it might take a little bit longer."
A little longer than the 4 years since the last World Cup does he mean? When, remember, exactly the same things happened, and exactly the same things were said. [lee calvert]

Poor stuff from Duncan. The ODI team are a mess and I'm not convinced that the Test Series against the Windies will be a walkover - is there a batsman (other than KP) in form?
