World Cup Kitwatch: England

England_kit_1 Shirt manufacturers Admiral seemed to have sunk without trace sometime after the debacle of a kit they supplied for England in the football World Cup in 1982. However, this was not the case as they surfaced about 3 years ago as official suppliers to the England cricket team at around about the same time the ECB brokered a deal with Vodafone - it's almost as if they deliberately picked brands at polar opposite ends of the profile spectrum.

Anyway, in the World Cup shirts are not allowed to carry sponsors on the front so Vodafone is replaced with 'ENGLAND' for fairly obvious reasons.  What is not quite so obvious is why they have a multi-coloured collar trim.  In fact the kit is pretty minging all round really.  [lee calvert]
