Hair "not happy" with ECB umpire role
Low-profile loving former elite umpire Darrell Hair has decided to turn down the only offer of gainful employment left on the table. He has told the ECB he will not remain on their reserve umpires list for the 2007 season as he is busy with his ICC court case.
Or of course it could be that his gigantic ego cannot handle travelling to the likes of Aigburth at 2 days notice to umpire a match in front of 37 people and afghan hound. You decide.
