Red eye (sun) reduction

Geoffrey Dean writes in today's Times that England - well, Michael Vaughan and Marcus Trescothick, Matt Prior, Ian Blackwell and Andrew Strauss are to do away with sunglasses and opt for red-tinted contact lenses. Why is this interesting? Well, it's not - but they're being supplied by Oakley and Bausch & Lomb which is further proof of the effect an Ashes victory (or indeed any major sporting triumph) can have on a team.

Will Luke writes for Cricinfo.com, edits The Corridor of Uncertainty and runs several other blogs.
